If your VertiGIS FM Greenspaces implementation includes an integrated web map with a feature layer mapped to trees in your database, you can see the tree's location by tapping the map icon in the top-right corner of the details page.

Map Icon
The map loads with the tree's feature point in the center of the screen. Other trees are not shown on the map.

Tree Shown on Integrated Web Map
You can edit a tree's properties whenever you open its details page in the mobile app. Simply tap in a text box, menu, or button and update the property as required.

Editing a Tree (1/2)
Tap the check mark icon in the top-right corner to save the changes.

Editing a Tree (2/2)
You can add a new tree to the VertiGIS FM database on the dashboard of the VertiGIS FM Greenspaces app.
Adding a new tree using the mobile app differs slightly from the procedure to add a new tree in VertiGIS FM web. When you add a tree using the mobile app, you must capture certain details usually added during a tree inspection.
To Add a Tree
1.On the Tree tab of the dashboard, do either of the following:
▪tap the + button on the Trees widget.

▪tap anywhere else on the Trees widget, and then tap the + button in the bottom-right corner.

2.Enter the tree's core properties in the corresponding data fields. The following fields are mandatory:
▪Green area (Tree section)
▪Species type (Tree section)
▪Safety for public circulation (Assessment section)
Refer to Tree Details for descriptions of fields in the Tree, Tree Data, and Basic Data sections. Refer to Inpsection Management in the VertiGIS FM Greenspaces App for information about the Crown, Trunk, Root, Location, Other Damages, and Assessment sections.
3.Tap the check mark icon in the top-right corner.

You can find the new tree in the list of trees that opens when you tap the check mark icon. A New tag appears on the tile of the newly added tree.

Newly Added Tree
Initially, the new tree will not have a Tree Number or Code property. When you synchronize the app, someone can assign the new trees these properties in the web version of VertiGIS FM.
When you add a new tree to the database, you can quickly document its location on your integrated web map using the app.
If the app has a web map mapped to the feature layer for trees, a pencil icon appears in the top-right corner of the details page for trees you have added to the database since the last time you synchronized or reset the app. To add the new tree's location to the map, tap the icon.

Locate Tree Workflow Icon
You can also access the add feature workflow on the form to add the new tree, instead of saving the new tree without a location.
