The Fleet Management module is an asset repository with unique features to manage vehicle assets and components separately from assets like devices and systems and components managed in the core VertiGIS FM Maintenance hierarchies.
In the Fleet Management module, you can arrange vehicles in your organization's fleet and components installed in vehicles into separate asset management hierarchies, oversee maintenance strategies and orders for preventative and corrective vehicle maintenance, log odometer readings and vehicle trips, and more.
To access the Fleet Management module, click the Vehicle Fleet icon on the VertiGIS FM home page.

The legacy dashboard for fleet management includes the sections below.
The Orders section lists orders assigned to the user signed in to the application.
The Actions section lists links to the following Fleet Management tools and resources:
•Vehicle structure: Opens the hierarchical asset management structure that stores the vehicles in your fleet.
•Component structure: Opens the hierarchical asset management structure that stores the individual components in your inventory, which can be installed in your fleet's vehicles.
•Driver's log: Opens the form to add a new entry to the driver's log for one of the vehicles in your fleet. The driver's log documents all trips taken in a vehicle and calculates the vehicle's fuel consumption based on the distance travelled.

As a system administrator, you can create a customized dashboard for each VertiGIS FM product and module included in your license. Tools in the dashboard customization feature allow you to design a dashboard that conveys important information to your users, using your own live VertiGIS FM data associated with any assets, data objects, and properties in your system.

Customized Dashboard with Characteristic Values, Charts, and a Map
Dashboard objects you can add to your start page include KPI metrics, charts, lists, and maps. You can also include any of the template sections from the legacy dashboard in your customized dashboard.
When you create a custom dashboard, you can add any of the items below to your start page.
