Cause of damage

The categories for the causes of damage that can be selected when you open a claim against an insurance contract.

Contract category

The categories that can be assigned to standard contracts. Each contract in VertiGIS FM must be sorted into a category.

Each entry in this catalog has an Objects section under which you can add data objects to the contract category. When a contract category entry is selected in a contract's Contract Category field, the objects in this section are selectable in the contract's Type of Object field. You can click the Add () icon to add a data object or the Delete () icon to remove a data object from the contract category's object list.

If you select the Unambiguous Assignment of Object check box, a data specific object associated with this contract (e.g., a specific device or component) can have only one contract of this category (e.g., one maintenance contract) linked to it.

Insurance

The categories that can be assigned to insurance contracts. Each contract in VertiGIS FM must be sorted into a category.

Each entry in this catalog has an Objects section under which you can add data objects to the contract category. When a contract category entry is selected in a contract's Contract Category field, the objects in this section are selectable in the contract's Type of Object field. You can click the Add () icon to add a data object or the Delete () icon to remove a data object from the contract category's object list.

Kind of damage

The categories for the types of damage for which a claim can be made against an insurance contract.

Object

The types of spaces (for example, apartment, office space, shop) that can be assigned to a contract. One of the options in this menu can be selected in the Object field in the standard contract or insurance contract details.

The Contract Category menu in each catalog entry determines which contracts the entry can be selected for in the contract's Object menu. For example, if you select a Maintenance Category as the contract Contract Category, the option will be selectable for contracts assigned this category.

This catalog can be accessed in either the Contract Management catalog or the Rental Management catalog.

Payment Status

The statuses that can be assigned to a payment recorded in association with an insurance contract.

Payment Type

The types of payment (e.g., claim settlement or partial refund) that can be assigned to a payment recorded in association with an insurance contract.
