Subgroups refer to groups within groups in the Device and Systems Structure. Subgroups contain types that themselves contain individual devices.
Subgroups are only used in three-level hierarchies. If you do not require a third hierarchical level to manage assets in your system, you can add types directly to groups and omit subgroups from your structure.
