In VertiGIS FM, central locks are the highest possible lock level in locking systems. A key to a central lock can open group locks beneath it in its hierarchy and individual locks beneath its groups. Central locks are equivalent to master locks in other contexts.

Central Lock in Locking System Hierarchy
Central lock keys do not open group and individual locks in the same locking system unless those locks are assigned to the same hierarchy within the locking system.
Every central lock in a locking system has its own details page that stores its properties and documents its hierarchical relationships to other locks. You can access a central lock's details page by double-clicking a central lock in the Central Locks section on its locking system's details page.
