The complexity of water treatment plants in the field of treatment and storage is relatively high. In addition to structural objects (water storage), pumps and pumping units are also used. Both influence the pressure in the network. For this reason, a stand-alone subnet controller (DeliveryPoint) was introduced, which uniformly stores the relevant information for network formation. This generalization to a transfer point/delivery point at the network-determining structures leads to a significant simplification of the collection and migration. In addition, the check valves also form a network restriction (restriction of the flow direction).

Explanation

Transfer point

WAT_Deliveripoint

The DeliveryPoint can be used as a replacement for the PlantConnectionPoint for plants. This point connects the plant construction with the line construction and is collected on the wall from the building or entry point of the plant.

Check valve

WAT_NoneReturnValve

The check valve only allows the flow direction (arrow) from left to right. It does not matter where the element is located in the network. As a rule, check valves are currently very rarely documented within plants and in the network.

Situation

Description

WAT_TankPump_minimal

Both images show a reservoir/tower for water with a pump station for a higher zone on the right.

This is the absolute minimum for a collection. Since a DeliveryPoint is used at the plant edge, the entire plant structure can be omitted during data transfer.

The information necessary for the network is collected at the DeliveryPoint.

WAT_TankPump_Anlagebau

The picture shows a highly simplified reservoir/tower with two water chambers (StorageDevice/Tank). In addition, supply is provided via a pump station for a higher zone on the right side. This pump station has two Pumps.

This coverage is also greatly reduced here and represents a minimum. Gate valve, check valve, etc. have been omitted. Here, too, a DeliveryPoint is used for the transfer to the network.

The information necessary for the network is collected at the DeliveryPoint.
