The configuration of a network contains different parts that are joined together to form a subnetwork. The table contains only the most important elements and is highly simplified.
Term |
Description |
---|---|
Tier |
Tiers are groupings into classes, which is usually represented by size or importance. |
Devices |
|
Subnetwork Controllers |
Subnetwork controller control the network in the primary property (pressure, voltage, etc.) |
Trace |
Network query/tracing |
Dirty Areas |
Areas with topological problems (or areas not checked) that need to be cleaned up. These prevent the interrogation of networks (subnetwork formation and tracing). |

In general, network tracings can be performed when the topology is enabled. If the query falls into the range of Dirty Areas a corresponding message is returned and the process terminates.
A subnetwork definition is a specific network query that stores the result in the Utility Network. Again, when reaching Dirty Areas the formation is aborted with an error message.
