Create/Edit an Asset

Prev Top Next More

You can create a new asset, or edit an existing one in Network Pro with ease. Consider using Studio Toolkit, Studio Workflow, and Studio Printing in your process.

To create/edit an asset:

1.Open a new job from the Job Management section. This allows you to validate your work before you permanently change the default version that is shared with other users. You can either choose an existing version from the Active Job drop-down menu, or you can create a new job from the Job Manager tool.

2.Use the following tools to create the asset:

Asset Editor: Add all the general information regarding an asset (such as the assignment number, description, and station number), as well as the technical information for the asset (such as the dimension and length).

Modify: Change the alignment of an asset, reshape its geometry, or divide and construct structures.

Line Split: Split a structure.

Merge Lines: Merge multiple structures.

Dimensioning Editor: This tool is essential when planning the measurements for a structure.

Multi Lines: Create and control multiple structures with a single edit operation.

Annotations: Create, move, and delete new or existing annotations for your structures.

3.Validate your work to ensure the information is correct.

VertiGIS ensures the data you entered is correct only in a topological sense via the Utility Network. You must make sure that the data you entered is correct before closing a job.

4.Close the job and share it with other users.

You can use Studio Printing to print and share your work.
