In VertiGIS FM Energy, a consumption is a data object that outlines the energy consumed at a metering point during a specific period of time. They are used to chart your consumption, calculate your costs, and outline your energy usage at a high level. Typically, the time period in a consumption entry spans from the beginning to the end of a month.
Consumptions are stored in the Consumption section on each metering point details page. Each entry in the Consumption section specifies the amount of energy consumed and the units for the time period specified in the consumption. The energy consumption is listed in the Consumption column, and the daily average consumption is listed in the Consumption/Day column.
Consumption Section
The unit for the consumption figures can be found in the Unit field in the metering point details, or in the consumption details when you double-click a consumption entry.
You can double-click one of the months in the Consumption section to change the metering point energy source and adjust pricing rates for the consumption, as required.
Editable Consumption Details
In the editable fields in the consumption details, you can enter rates (for example, cent/unit) to calculate the costs associated with the energy consumption. These fields populate automatically if a tariff is assigned to the metering point. Costs associated with the consumption can also be analyzed in the Chart Costs section on the metering point details page.
Energy consumption entries can be created any of three ways, based on the selection in the Input field in the metering point details.
