After you create an annotation, you can edit its geometry, or alter its text.

To edit an annotation:

1.Go to Edit < Annotations.
The Annotations tab opens.

2.Click Pick to choose the annotation feature you want to change on the map.

3.Click Edit Geometry to move and rotate the annotation to the desired location and angle.

4.Optional: Change the text of the annotation by rewriting the text box field.

You can change the text of an annotation only if it is a free annotation. Feature-linked annotation texts are derived from the attributes of the linked feature, and cannot be overwritten.

5.Click Save.
Your changes to the annotation are saved.

To ensure the correct display of annotations on the map, zoom in to an appropriate scale.

Annotations are only visible when their associated layer is active and visible. Ensure that the layer is turned on in the Layer tab.
