After you create an annotation, you can edit its geometry, change its subtype, or alter its text, rotation angle and position. This allows you to keep annotation labels clear and aligned with the current network design.
To edit an annotation:
1.Go to Edit < Annotations.
The Annotations tab opens.
2.Click Edit, then draw a line intersecting the annotation feature(s) you want to change on the map.
A list of the selected feature(s) is shown in the panel.
3.Rotate the annotation around its axis by dragging the Rotation bar, or by inputting the rotation angle in the box field.
4.Click Edit Geometry to move and rotate the annotation to the desired location and angle.
5.Click on the annotation in the panel to open the Text and Annotation Class fields to change them to their new values.
You can remove an annotation from the selection results by clicking the minus button next to it.
You can change the text of an annotation only if it is a free annotation. Feature-linked annotation texts are derived from the attributes of the linked feature, and cannot be overwritten. You can only overwrite a feature-linked annotation text by changing the attributes of the related feature.
6.Click Save.
Your changes to the annotation are saved.
To ensure the correct display of annotations on the map, zoom in to an appropriate scale.
Annotations are only visible when their associated layer is active and visible. Ensure that the layer is turned on in the Layer tab.
You can display annotation layers that include annotations with leaderlines.
To edit block annotations:
1.Go to Edit < Annotations.
The Annotations tab opens.
2.Click Edit, then draw a line intersecting the annotation features you want to change on the map.
A list of the selected feature(s) is shown in the panel.
3.Rotate the annotation around its axis by dragging the Rotation bar, or by inputting the rotation angle in the box field.
4.Click Edit Geometry to move and rotate the block annotation to the desired location and angle.
5.Click on a specific annotation in the panel to show the Annotation Class field. You can choose a different class from the drop-down menu.
You can remove an annotation from the selection results by clicking the minus button next to it.
6.Click Save.
Your edits to the block annotations are now saved to the map.

To delete an annotation:
1.Go to Edit < Annotations.
The Annotations tab opens.
2.Click Edit, then draw a line intersecting the annotations you want to delete on the map.
A list of the selected feature(s) is shown in the panel.
3.Click on the Action menu next to the annotation name from the list, then click Delete to permanently delete the annotation from the data set.
4.Alternatively, click on the Action menu next to the Chosen Annotations, then click Delete Annotations to permanently delete the selected block annotations from the data set.
