A lien is a legal claim on a property that serves as a security of debt. In VertiGIS FM Parcel, you can associate a lien with a land registry entry or a land parcel. A single lien can also be associated with both a land registry entry and a land parcel.
Add a Lien
You can add a lien on the land registry entry details page or the land parcel details page.
To Add a Lien
1.Navigate to the details page for the land registry entry or land parcel whose lien you want to add to VertiGIS FM.
2.Expand the Liens section and click the Add (
) icon.
3.Enter the lien's details. At minimum, you must select a type of lien.

4.Click Save and Close.

The serial number or identifier for the lien. |

The type of lien (for example, mortgage or tax lien). Selectable options are saved in the Mortgage catalog. |
Amount |
The amount of money borrowed on the lien. |
Entry |
The date the lien becomes valid. |
Deletion |
The date as of which the lien is no longer valid. |
Land parcel |
The land parcel associated with the lien. This field only appears if you create the lien on the land registry entry's details page. |
Land registry entry |
The land registry entry associated with the lien. This field only appears if you create the lien on the land parcel's details page. |
