You can add, edit, and delete vehicle components from the component version details page associated with them.

This topic outlines how to manually add, edit, and delete individual vehicle components in VertiGIS FM. You can alternatively import your own internal record of vehicle components into the VertiGIS FM database using a CSV or XML file. This option is ideal for adding, editing, or deleting large quantities of vehicle components simultaneously (for example, to establish an initial record of your vehicle components in the VertiGIS FM database).

Add a Vehicle Component

You can add a vehicle component to your inventory by creating a new object on the details page of a vehicle component version.

To Add a Vehicle Component

1.Navigate to the component version details page for the version to which you want to add a vehicle component.

2.Expand the Objects section and click the Add () icon.

3.Complete the Component form. At minimum, you must enter a name for the vehicle component in the Name field.

4.Expand the Technical Characteristics and Commercial Characteristics tabs and add any relevant details.

5.Click Save or Save and Close.

The new vehicle component inherits the asset identification key of its parent version with a decimal and number to serialize it.

Edit a Vehicle Component's Details

You can edit the details of an individual vehicle component on its details page.

To Edit a Vehicle Component's Details

1.Navigate to the details page for the component version that contains the vehicle component you want to edit.

2.Expand the Objects section.

3.Double-click the vehicle component in the Objects table; alternatively, you can select the object and click the View Details () icon.

4.Click the Edit () icon.

5.Edit the vehicle component's details as required.

6.Click Save and Close.

Delete a Vehicle Component

You can remove an individual vehicle component from the inventory on the details page of its component version.

To Delete a Vehicle Component

1.Navigate to the details page for the component version that contains the vehicle component you want to delete.

2.Expand the Objects section.

3.Select the vehicle component you want to delete.

4.Click the Delete () icon.

5.Click OK.
