1.5 - April 2024 Jump to all versions

Basic software

The new VertiGIS Studio Web Version 5.29 with its new features serves as the basis.

Subnetworks

For quick identification, the subnetworks in the results list are now also displayed with their graphical characteristics.

Associations

The display and highlighting of assets on the map has been optimized.

Terminals

User guidance and interoperability improved.

Newly created lines are now automatically connected to the appropriate terminals if the line end points are geometrically connected to network points for which terminals are defined.

If a newly created line cannot be clearly connected to a terminal, the terminal dialog is displayed. The user can manually connect the line to the desired terminal.

Compatible Feature Templates

The rules for edge-node-edge are now also evaluated for the compatible feature templates.

Toolbar

For quick access to the important Edit attributes and Edit geometry functions, these are now also available in the toolbar - independently of other functions.

Network topology
There are now three modes available for carrying out the topology validation:

Standard Perform a standard validation.

Rebuild Rebuild and repair inconsistencies in the network index.

Force rebuild Rebuild and repair inconsistencies in the network index.

Change multiple lines

The course of multilines can now also be changed in sections and bundled.

Attribute Forms

The use of the Configurable attribute forms has been further developed. Extended developer documentation is available to the administrator for customizing these attribute forms.

1.4 - January 2024 Jump to all versions

User Guidance

In the quick access functions area, you can now switch to the previous or next map view with the corresponding zoom level.

Optimized user guidance for the construction and associations functions.

Documentation in the new layout
New VertiGIS layout for Networks documentation with improved scaling options for low space requirements. This means that the documentation is also ideal for use on small monitors.

Construction Tools

Optimized User Guidance

Changing an existing baseline direction can now be carried out using a new function in the action menu.

Snapping
Catching is now also possible on edges.

Create Multilines

Construction and storage of multiple, parallel lines using an existing line feature or a sketched line

View settings, e.g. distance between lines, alignment, preview, can be changed.

Update Subnetworks
Updating subnetworks to ensure that any changed assets, attributes, network features or connectivity in a network are current and valid.

Connecting Terminals
Logical, network-compliant connection of line objects with devices (components) and node objects via their terminals.

Edit Associations

Optimized User Guidance

Display of associations now also available in the context menu of asset results.

Manage Versions

Display of the current version in the status bar.

Under certain conditions, the ownership of a version can be transferred.

Survey Points

Easier file selection using drag & drop for selecting and uploading files in the import dialog

Configuration of the dialogs for the layer settings possible

Please note the information in Known Issues, as it is currently not advisable to edit data where the Z values have been explicitly recorded.

1.3 - November 2023 Jump to all versions

Geometry and Attributes of a feature

The geometry of a feature can now be edited.

The attributes of a feature can also be displayed and edited in a new attribute form.

These attributes can be changed using configurable attribute forms . Developer documentation is available for the administrator to customize these attribute forms.

Associations

The display of associations has been extended with the possibility of editing associations.

New associations can now be created.

A configurable context menu can be used to store typical, recurring actions that can be executed on the selected network feature.

The associations of an associated network feature can also be displayed.

Improvement of the user guidance

Version Management

The filtering options have been extended with regard to owner and access authorization.

Improvement of the user guidance

Split Lines
When placing a net point on a line, the system now automatically checks whether the rules of the utility network specify a split of the line. If this is the case, the line is automatically disconnected.

Survey data
Bug fixes have been made.

Performance
Improve the loading speed when launching the application.

In parallel, bug fixing was done on all existing functionalities.

1.2 - July 2023Jump to all versions

Split Lines
With the new Split function in the Edit tool group, network features can be split using a point or one or more network feature(s) can be split using an intersection line. When splitting lines, the domain guidelines for splitting lines are taken into account. Jump to all versions

Show Associations
This function can be used to show the associations between network features that are nonspatial and non-coincident objects on the map. A utility network can have the following types of associations:

Connectivity Associations

Containment Associations

Structural Attachment Associations

For more information, see Esri's ArcGIS Pro Help.

Query Builder
Through this VertiGIS Studio query tool, queries can be executed on a layer according to specific characteristics using search and filter functions. More information can be found in the VertiGIS Studio Web documentation in chapter What's new about the Query Tool.

Language Setting
In the user settings in the status bar, the display language of the application can be selected between English and German.

Deleting Features
It is now possible to delete multiple features from the results list at once.

Version Management
The readability of the version names has been optimized.

Network Validation
The interface of the network validation function has been optimized.

Create Feature
Feature templates of invisible layers are no longer displayed.

In parallel, bug fixing was done on all existing functionalities.

1.1 - March 2023 Jump to all versions

Subtype Group Layer (composite feature layer)
Performance improvement, since actions (such as panning, zooming, otherwise redisplaying) can be performed on groups of layers rather than on individual layers.
Further information on Subtype group layers can be found in the Esri ArcGIS Pro Help.

Compatible Feature Templates
When creating new features, only the feature templates that can be linked to the desired object from a network topology perspective can be offered with this mode.

Version Management
The creation of an Esri Branch version is now possible. This enables parallel processing of the same database by different users.

Redesign of the network validation
The network topology validation feature has been revised.

1.0 - January 2023 Jump to all versions
