You can maintain functional units in your VertiGIS FM Greenspaces using both inspections and maintenance orders. Inspections and orders are assigned to an employee and closed when the associated work or inspection has been completed.

Orders and maintenance strategies created for assets managed in other VertiGIS FM products work differently. Refer to Orders in the VertiGIS FM Maintenance documentation for more information.

Inspections and orders are generated according to intervals that use data entered in various catalogs in the VertiGIS FM administration. Alternatively, you can manually create individual inspections or orders as standalone events. Users in the field can then complete individual inspections and orders generated for a specific functional unit.

Inspections

Inspections involve assessing the condition of the functional unit and reviewing its inventory and partial areas for damage. You can create an inspection interval to ensure ongoing inspections for the functional unit or manually create individual inspections. Recurring inspections are often required for legal reasons.

Inspections for functional units have unique functionality in that they require the employee who completes the inspection to verify the condition of all inventory items on the functional unit.

Individual inspections for a functional unit are listed in the Inspections section on the functional unit's details page.

Orders

Orders are similar to inspections but typically involve maintenance work as opposed to condition assessments. You can create an order interval to ensure the system generates ongoing orders for the functional unit. You cannot manually create individual orders.

You can see all the inspections and orders associated with a green area or partial area on the Playground Management search page. To see the inspections or orders, clicks Inspections or Orders respectively under Objects.
