The Read CSV file Cron Job is a special type of importing data by reading comma-separated value files.
Typically, the external systems (e.g. SAP) send a message to the VertiGIS Integrator who processes it and makes object edits in the geodatabase. For customers who do not send the data from an external system to VertiGIS Integrator, but have all the data in a comma-separated value file, the VertiGIS Integrator has a Read CSV file Cron Job integrated.
After being uploaded by the customer, the CSV file (comma-separated value file) is stored in a central folder within the company network. Once stored, the VertiGIS Integrator reads the CSV file and creates new objects in the geodatabase using data from the CSV file.
