This chapter describes how data can be exchanged between the GIS system and external systems with the help of the VertiGIS Integrator.

The principle of the VertiGIS Integrator data processing is based on XML processing of incoming and outgoing data.

Incoming data is received by an Inbound Endpoint. The Inbound Endpoint generates an XML structure from the received data and forwards it to the XML processing engine of the VertiGIS Integrator.
