The subnetworks are created using the definitions stored in the model. The following criteria are generally taken into account.

1.Generally: The topology must be enabled and must not have any errors (dirty areas).

2.Only elements which have the NET_MainLifeCycleStatus = Operation are used. All other elements are in the design, construction phase or have been decommissioned (and are not included for this reason).

3.For the switching status the current switching status is defined with NET_CurrentPosition = Off and is used as barrier (Device).

4.Network formation is done only for the defined levels of supply tiers. These are described below.

5.Subnetwork controllers are the origin and usually also form the barrier of a subnetwork.
