Add, Edit, or Delete a Component Version

This topic includes procedures to add, edit, and delete a component version.

Add a Component Version

A version can be a child of either a group or designation. That means you that you can add a version on a group's or designation's details page in the Component Structure.

To Add a Component Version

1.Navigate the details page for the group or designation under which you want to create the new version.

2.Expand the Types section and click the Add (icon-add) icon.

3.Enter an identification key for the component version in the Asset Identification Key text box.

4.Enter a name for the component version in the Name text box for the corresponding language.

5.Enter a Sort Position and select an option from the Article, Trade, and Service Level menus as applicable.

6.Expand the Default Values section to add any physical or commercial characteristics, if applicable.

7.Click Save and Close.

Edit a Component Version's Details

You can edit a version on the version details page.

To Edit a Component Version

1.Click the Edit (icon-edit) icon.

2.Edit the version's details as required.

3.Click Save and Close.

Delete a Component Version

Versions are deleted from the Types table on the group's or designation's detail page.

To Delete a Component Version

1.In the Types section, select the version you want to delete.

2.Click the Delete (icon-delete) icon and then click OK.
