SAP IDoc (Intermediate Document) is a proprietary exchange format for asynchronous communication with SAP systems. Incoming IDoc messages are converted into XML with the help of the SAP Java Connector (JCO) and then further processed in the VertiGIS Integrator using XSLT. For outgoing messages, the UTI XML  from the VertiGIS Integrator is converted into an IDoc by the Java Connector and then sent to SAP.
