The VertiGIS Integrator is intended for intranet use and not Internet direct use. Please send a request to the VertiGIS Integrator support team if you would like to use the software on the Internet in order to create the corresponding security concept.

The VertiGIS Integrator supports HTTP Basic Authentication to authenticate to external services (e.g. SOAP interfaces). For encrypted data transmission when calling the VertiGIS Integrator interface and for SOAP/HTTP communication, HTTPS is recommended.

If access to an Inbound or Outbound SOAP service is to be secured, a combination of Basic Authentication and HTTPS is recommended.

For access from the VertiGIS Integrator to the map service in the ArcGIS Server, HTTPS is recommended.

The following sections describe the setup for enabling HTTPS and Basic Authentication.
