The following are the new features for the versions released so far:
2.4 - December 2025 
•Improved conflict detection and resolution for web apps
With an enhanced update mechanism, as much customizations as possible are kept while adding new features from the update package. In case customers and package authors have done changes to the same sections of web apps (e.g. panels, toolbars), then Solution Manager combines the changes from both ends and helps avoiding that the customer looses the customizations.
•Improved update of web app layouts
Customizations of the layout of a web app that are done with help of Studio Web Designer are now taken into account during the update process even though the package author also made changes to the layout. This includes adding new components, erasing existing ones and moving components inside/between parent components. Also changes of the properties of single components (e.g. margins) are supported.
•Seamless update of web app configurations
Also customizations affecting the app.json of a web app that are done with help of Studio Web Designer are now preserved during an update. This includes adding new tools/context actions to toolbars/context menus, erasing existing tools/context actions and changing the order of them inside the same toolbar/context menu. Also changes of properties of single components (e.g. title) are supported.
•Detailed conflict report
For all possible conflicts between author and customer changes conflict types were introduced that are reported before the update is performed. Through this we increase understandability and transparency about what happens during the update process. All conflicts and how they are handled during the update process are documented in the user documentation.
2.3 - April 2025
•Made Solution Manager npm package available publicly
The Solution Manager now includes a command-line interface (CLI) tool that streamlines solution deployment. This tool allows you to automate the deployment process, making the graphical user interface (GUI) optional. •Under-the-Hood Improvements
We've upgraded the core engine of Solution Manager to make it faster, more secure, and future-proof.
2.2 - July 2024
•Solution Package Updates
Introduced the ability to update deployed packages with new versions of the same package. This includes a sophisticated conflict resolution engine for Studio Web Apps to preserve user customizations while applying package updates.
•Open App directly in Studio Web Designer
The Studio Web App included in a Solution Package can now be opened directly in the Studio Web Designer from the Solution Manager GUI.
•Dynamic Web App Titles
Added the ability to set the title of Web Apps and other portal items using custom parameters. This ensures the deployed item's title correctly reflects the user-provided parameter value.
2.1 - February 2024
•Support for web apps and mobile apps that reference multiple layouts
Web apps and mobile apps with multiple layouts (e.g. desktop, mobile) are now supported. This is required in the Network Locator Solution, for example.
•Support of optional inputs for parameters
For custom parameters, it is now possible to define whether an entry in the user interface is mandatory or not. If no input is required, a fallback value can be defined which is set during deployment instead of the user input.
•Support for multiple ArcGIS servers in the same portal
Previously, only the feature services from an ArcGIS Server were made available for data source registration. If several ArcGIS Servers are connected to the portal, all feature services are now listed and can be filtered according to the ArcGIS Server.
2.0 - September 2023
•Initial version of VertiGIS Solution Manager
Version 2.0 is the initial version of the Solution Manager, which allows the deployment of VertiGIS Web Apps with all necessary content and parameters in a simple way through a guided interface.
