Pipelines

For transportation and distribution, the organizations above are considered transportation (transmission/transportation company). For this reason, the models worked for both national and regional organizations.

Currently, three levels are planned for the representation of the networks:

Transport (TransmissionLine)

Distribution (DistributionLine)

Development (ServiceLine, InternalServiceLine)

In the gas networks, a classic top-down structure from the storage facilities/transfer stations to the consumer is to be represented.

See chapter How it works

The function is managed in an independent attribute. The reason lies in the different definitions and standards of different countries. Implementation will take place at a later date.

Depending on the topography, water and gas are distributed in small to medium-sized service territories. In these, the pressure conditions can be very different (e.g. pre-alpine and alpine areas). The most important difference between gas and water is the way it is distributed. This is hierarchical in the gas and is defined by the pressure (decreasing pressure in underlying networks).

In gas, consumers (house connection) can also be connected to medium pressure networks. Larger industrial plants are usually connected directly via their own pressure-reducing installations.
