Unlike the asset type Pole, this pole has several vertical elements. It is self-supporting and requires no guy wires or struts. As a rule, a tower has a foundation or individual foundations.

Mast (single)

Simple pole usually made of wood, which serves as a support structure for overhead power lines in rural areas. Unlike the tower, it has only one vertical element.

Shear protection

A shear protection is a longitudinal force-locking sleeve joint. The shear protection absorbs shear, tensile and compressive forces acting axially on the pipeline. There are external and internal versions of plug-in sleeves. They can usually be found at the manufacturers with the fittings.

Used only in water and gas.

Anchor/Jacking Point

In district heating, the jacking points are relevant for the calculation of expansions in connection with thermal effects.

Suspension (top of the picture)

Anchor point for suspended cables (see Bracket).

Bracket (bottom of picture)

Used to route pipes within structural objects. These are the two elements that fix the pipe. Has both a supporting and a hanging effect.

Wall duct

Used for laying pipes inside buildings. It has both a supporting and a hanging effect. Various manufacturers also allow multiple media in the same wall bushing (see picture below).
