The transition from cable to transformer forms a termination. This is almost identical in function to the Pothead for overhead lines and cables. As a rule, the three phases are connected to the transformer. The cable termination is designed to prevent moisture or dirt from getting between the components of the cable. End closures in stations usually have measuring and monitoring devices.
