An elegant and easy solution to create smooth, cross-system workflows is to synchronize data between the GIS application and the integrated external application on-the-fly.

This means, for example, the UT JavaScript Web  client can be opened, allowing the end-user to directly select certain assets (e.g., stations) via the map. Subsequently, they can open the respective screens in SAP/PM to create a new maintenance order or notification for these stations. Alternatively, they may simply examine the specific functional location within SAP/PM. This functionality also operates in reverse: SAP users can click on a button in their SAP interface and be directed straight to the correct geographic location within the GIS Web Client.
