The purpose of this document is to provide a first experience with the VertiGIS Integrator. Using the following templates, you can make your own integration between a SAP system and a GIS. You can also extend the template further on.

Customers mostly want to integrate the technical objects, such as functional locations and equipment. For example, on the SAP side we have a station (which is a SAP functional location) and, on the GIS side, we have transformers or polls (objects that are typically considered as equipment on the SAP side). This is one of the base requirements of the VertiGIS Integrator when it comes down to SAP integration: to sync objects between the systems and to create, update and get functional locations & equipment from SAP. Nevertheless, there are still some more objects like notifications and orders and so on.
