In the Data Sources section, registered data sources can be used for deployment or data sources that have not yet been registered can be registered for use in a deployment and thus made accessible.
Therefore, two tabs are available to access the different data sources:
•Registered
These are feature services available on the portal that have been registered and possibly enriched with metadata. These feature services and their information are known to the Solution Manager and can be used directly during the deployment process. Existing data sources can be searched and filtered by domains (e.g. electricity, gas, water, telecommunications, etc.). The following functions are available via the action menu :
Details - Info about ArcGIS Server, Feature Service, Layers and Tables in this deployment
Edit - Change metadata
Show related Web Apps - in which deployments this data source has already been used
Synchronize - if changes have been made to the feature server that were not included at the time of deployment
Delete - Delete data source
•Not registered
All feature services available on the portal that have been created but not yet registered are displayed here. I.e. the feature service is not yet parameterized and therefore not known to the Web Solutions. These services can be made available for deployment via the action menu :
Register
An input window appears to assign individual mandatory parameters (data source name, version, domain selection) for later unique identification of the data source and to select the correct domain for the purpose. This new, now registered data source will then appear in the registered data sources area.
Only those functions are executable for which the logged-in user has the authorization (administrator, publisher). For example, only the owner of a data source can perform the Edit and Delete functions.
