After starting VertiGIS Solution Manager, you can deploy Networks Simulator Solution.
The utility network data must be published as a feature service.
1.Launch VertiGIS Solution Manager.
The Solution Manager is started and ready to use.
For more information, see Start Solution Manager.
If you are using Solution Manager for the first time with a Portal for ArcGIS, you need to change the registration information of the VertiGIS Studio Printing item (see Register VertiGIS Studio Printing Using a New ArcGIS Item). In the Registered Info you need to add the following Redirect URL: https://<SUBDOMAIN>.apps.vertigisstudio.com and click Add. The mentioned setting is sufficient for users with Administrator rights.
If you have a Publisher portal permission and want to do the installation of the Network Solution, you must additionally be assigned to a group that has access to VertiGIS Studio Printing portal item. This setting can be assigned via Edit Group Sharing. Otherwise, the Solution cannot be installed because Solution Manager needs these permissions to provide print templates.
2.Prepare data sources.
For more information, see Manage Data Sources.
3.Perform the deployment steps.
For more information, see Perform Deployment.
i.Enter parameter values:
▪Package name - Any individual name can be assigned.
▪VertiGIS Studio Web URL which is defined during VertiGIS Studio Web installation.
Example: https://<hostname.domain.com>/web
▪Enter specific Networks Simulator Parameter values
For the deployment of the Networks Simulator Solution, the following additional information is required (explanations are given by clicking
):
•The URL of the web map to be used in the printing template.
•VertiGIS Studio Printing Server URL which is defined during VertiGIS Studio Printing installation.
Example: https://<hostname.domain.com>/vertigisstudio/printing/
After entering the URL, you must log in again using the Sign in button for technical reasons.
•VertiGIS Studio Reporting Server URL.
Example: https://<hostname.domain.com>/vertigisstudio/reporting/
After entering the URL, you must log in again using the Sign in button for technical reasons.
•VertiGIS Studio Workflow Designer URL which is defined during VertiGIS Studio Workflow Designer installation.
Example: https://<hostname.domain.com>/workflow/designer
▪Attributes Form Schema Portal Item ID - Input of the GUID of the portal item, which contains the project-related schema for the attribute mask.
The Attribute Form Schema Portal Item ID parameter is optional. If the field is left empty, the attributes are displayed by default according to the definition in the feature service. The GUID could then be entered via the Studio Web Designer. See developer documentation.
ii.Validate deployment:
▪The Planning Manager function in the Networks Simulator requires the VU_PLANNING and VU_PLANNING_CONSTR_PHASE layers to be included in the feature service and the web map.
If these layers are missing, the Networks Simulator cannot be deployed and a corresponding error message is displayed.
The deployment must be canceled and the two layers must first be added to the feature service and the web map in accordance with the Data basis. The deployment can then be repeated with the Solution Manager.
The VertiGIS Studio Web Designer must be used to customize the project-specific web map. For more information, see Network Solutions in General.
After installation, an adjustment to the project-specific map basis must be made. To do this, first select the generated web app in the Studio Web Designer. Then select the Map component, go to Map settings and click Refresh. This ensures that the project-specific map basis is correctly integrated into the web app.
