Emergency power generator / Emergency power system
Aggregate for the generation of electricity in connection with an emergency operation (without electricity of the public network). The fuel is usually diesel or gasoline.
In English also the term standby generator is used, which implies a more precise functional designation.
Representation of measured values and controllable elements in the control system
Telecontrol installation
Larger organizations have process control systems and telecontrol technology which enable the plants to be controlled via a control system. The necessary end components are collected as remote control system or installation control. This also includes the sensors for measured values, which transmit the current information to the control system .
In connection with emergency operation (without power of the public network), starter batteries are necessary for diesel engines, for example. The same applies to control centers which have a UPS system (uninterruptible power supply).
