Why aren't the meters in the devices?

•A meter does not influence the network, or only indirectly through a device. It simply indicates that a measurement is being taken at this point. What exactly is being measured and what reaction this measurement may trigger will only become clear through the control system used.

•The meter in a house may also contain an active component. In this context, we will certainly need to address the topic of smart meters, which can be controlled, at a later stage. However, even here, it is assumed that these elements (despite having an active component) will not fall into the category of devices, as they typically only control the end consumer and do not influence the sub-network.

•The topic of meters/devices will be examined in more detail during the next or subsequent revision of the data models.
