Pig trap

Pig traps serve as access for the inspection of gas pipelines. The pigging method is used for pipelines in order to detect possible impairments (corrosion, deformation, damage, etc.) at an early stage. In the past, cleaning pigs/cleaning scrapers were mainly used in gas pipelines. Today, these are used as part of the inspection of gas transport pipelines, which are introduced into the transport pipelines via pig traps.
