The busbar represents the connection between the incoming and outgoing lines in an installation. Depending on the network level, these can be very different.
Busbars form the backbone of the switchgear. In outdoor switchgear, they consist of steel-aluminum cables suspended from insulators, and in the case of larger currents, aluminum tubes. In medium voltage switchgear, space requirements and short-circuit resistance are of great importance.
