Foundation

Pole foundations serve to anchor the pole to the ground. Due to varying requirements (statics, local conditions, and subsoil conditions), there are different shapes and designs for foundations. A distinction is generally made between shallow, block, and pile foundations.

Tunnels / Caverns / Adits

These are artificial structures built into rock or soil. Power plants are often located in caverns.

In alpine regions, gas pipelines are also routed through tunnel systems.

In caverns, the route is viewed spatially (solid/cave system) rather than linearly as in the ConstructedPath asset group.
