Protective tube / Jacket pipe / Jacket

Forms a protective cover for the media carrier. Often used for crossing roads and dams. Is similar to the culvert or tube in function.

The line is primarily used to satisfy the obligation to provide information to network agencies. Lines are explicitly required in the data submission format.

(Not for electricity, protective tubes are used there)

Earth conductor / earth cable / protective conductor PE

Conductor for safety purposes, for example against electric shock.

Insulation

Thermal insulation of pipes and pipe sections

- for components that are not supplied with insulation and to which insulation is retrofitted (e.g., in stations)

- to replace locally damaged insulation. In this case, only part of the existing insulation is removed and refilled.

For molded parts or selective installation (selective objects), the AssetType ThermalIsolationElement is available.

Expansion pads, expansion cushions, expansion pads

To prevent impermissible longitudinal expansion, expansion cushions with sufficient elasticity must be installed on the expansion legs. The length and thickness of the expansion cushions are taken from the static calculation. Reductions must also be wrapped with expansion cushions in expansion zones. 

The line AssetType is leading for the attributes. The surface expansion of the expansion pads is managed with StructureBoundary ExpansionPadBoundary.
