Protective pipe

The protective pipes primarily serve to protect cables from external influences (mechanical and moisture). At the same time, through empty conduits, capacity can be created for future expansion without the need for further excavation.

In addition to protective pipes, there are other historical profiles and construction methods (e.g., Z-iron, cover stone, channel stone, half-shell).

The protective pipe itself can also be laid within another protective pipe (often in the fields of electricity and telecommunications). In telecommunications, it can also contain microduct bundles and microtubes.

The tube bundle can combine several microducts of the same or different diameters, making the installation more cost-efficient.

   Microduct

A microduct is used to protect optical fibers. A fiber optic cable with n fibers can be blown or pulled into a microduct without the need to dig trenches. The microducts are available in solid colors or translucent with stripes to make them easier to differentiate in the field and in documentation. Various combinations of outer and inner diameters of the microduct are available. They are connected to each other using microduct connectors or reducers and can be sealed with microduct end caps.
