Name Lengths Permitted in ArcGIS

Prev Top Next More

Minimum values were compiled based on Esri documents. These constraints must be observed so that the data model can be operated on different customer database systems.

If the database allows fewer characters than ArcGIS permits, the number of characters allowed by the database is restricted. The specified number of characters requires the use of single-byte characters.
