Route Section Manager

Prev Top Next More

With the Route Manager, route sections can be generated automatically or existing routes can be edited. The prerequisite is the parameterization of a suitable (StructureNetwork) in the Utility Network (UN). The StructureNetwork consists of three feature classes and two tables: StructureJunction, StructureLine, StructureBoundary, StructureJunctionObject and StructureEdgeObject.

Detailed information on this can be found on the Esri website.

A StructureLine is a mandatory requirement. For these must be parametrized Containments via network rules . By a route section we understand a StructureLine, to which over the entire geometric course, parallel running sections of line features are subordinated as containment. Each of the Line Features sections must follow the full length of the geometric course of the StructureLine.

Optionally, a StructureArea can be parameterized. Containments to the StructureLine must be parameterized for these via network rules. A StructureArea is then assigned to neighboring StructureLines, which always have identical contents with regard to their containments. The surface geometry is calculated from the route width and a fusion of the StructureLine geometries.

Currently, identical AssetGroup / AssetType pairs are parameterized for corresponding StructureAreas and StructureLines. If you want to deviate from this, the input dialog must be adapted.
